Alarm Communication
As the alarm system owner it is your responsibility to maintain a phone
line for the alarm to communicate. We have secondary methods of communication
if you are concerned your phone line is a vulnerable point. Also keep
in mind that ALL of our alarm systems self-test communication once per
day with our central station. Should your phone line go down we will know.
That level of service is offered by very few alarm companies, but I believe
it is one of the most important.
As we move forward in the digital era we must constantly look for and
adapt to more cost effective methods of telecommunication and high speed
internet. However, not every telecommunication provider can yield a product
that can coexist with older technology, specifically older alarm technology.
Below is a small chart to summarize the coexistence between alarm panels
and communication medium technologies.
